The crash occurred sometime Friday (11/25/22) night, but was not reported to Hardwick Electric until Saturday (11/26/22). By that time, the operator fled and the vehicle was removed from the scene. There was approximately $2500 damage to the utility pole, which needed to be replaced. The Hardwick Police learned Cynthia Person (65), who lives at 389 Mackville Road, and her brother Robert Roya (65) towed the vehicle from the scene and hid it behind Person’s residence under a tarp. Charles Bagley Jr. was located at the scene. He claimed the vehicle was not his but it was later found that he did own the vehicle.
