On 10-06-25 the Hardwick Police Department conducted a Sex Offender Registry (SOR) check on Jacob M. Williams, age 31 of Hardwick, who was listed as being non-compliant. Investigation revealed that Williams had numerous violations for not sending in required registration paperwork, failing to contact the SOR daily, and for not reporting in his location.![]()

Williams was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Caledonia unit to answer the charge.

On 09/11/2025 at 4:10pm the Hardwick Police Department responded to a two car motor vehicle crash on West Church Street in Hardwick. Upon arrival the vehicle owned by Deborah Aschenbach (77) of Hardwick had been damaged and the other vehicle had left the scene. The other vehicle involved driven by Ian Strong (33) of Morrisville was located later on the Renaud Road in Hardwick. Strong was charged with Leaving a scene of an Accident is due to appear before Caledonia Superior Court; Criminal Division in St. Johnsbury on 10/20/2025 at 8:30AM.

On 10/10/25 at 7:13 P.M. the Hardwick Police Department arrested 22-year-old Travis Daigle on an outstanding warrant. Daigle was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for another violation. The warrant had been issued for failing to show for a scheduled court appearance at the Caledonia Unit of the Superior Court of Vermont, Criminal Division. He was lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility.

Narrative: On 10/17/25 Hardwick Police Department conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation on South Main Street. After having the operator, Danielle Lowe’s information run through Lamoille County Dispatch, Lowe was found to be criminally suspended. Lowe was taken into custody without incident and processed at Hardwick Police Department. Lowe received a citation to appear in Caledonia Superior Court unit on November 24,2025 at 8:30AM. Lowe was lodged at Chittenden County Correctional Center by probation and Parole.
