On 11/30/25 at 9:03 P.M. Hardwick Police responded to 36 Maple St for a report that Michael Ewen was in a residence that he had been issued a trespass letter for. Ewen also had an active arrest warrant. Upon arrival Ewen had locked himself in a room. With assistance from Morrisville PD and the Lamoille County Sheriffs Office, Ewen was taken into custody. Ewen was issued a citation for 12/1/25 at 12:30 P.M. for failure to appear and issued a citation for unlawful trespass for 12/29/25 at 8:30 A.M. both in Caledonia County District Court. Ewen was lodged at Northeast Regional Correctional Facility for his warrant.

On 11/29/2025 at approximately 5:34 P.M. the Hardwick Police responded to the area of Renaud Rd for a report of a vehicle rollover with multiple occupants. Upon arrival, the occupants were out of the vehicle. Alberto Gomes, 22, Hardwick was traveling East on Renaud Rd when he lost control of his 2009 Ford Explorer going off the roadway and rolled the vehicle onto its passenger side due to icy conditions. Hardwick Fire and Rescue also assisted at the scene.

On 11/22/25 Hardwick Police conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation on Wolcott St. After having the operator, Kyle Kizer’s information was checked through Lamoille County Dispatch, Kizer was found to be criminally suspended and had an active arrest warrant. Kizer was taken into custody without incident and processed at the Hardwick Police Department. Kizer was lodged at the Northeast Correctional Complex on his warrant. Kizer received a citation to appear in Caledonia Superior Court unit on 12/22/25 at 8:30 A.M.

On 11-13-25 at 3:36 P.M. the Hardwick Police Department arrested 61-year-old Louis Ferland on an outstanding warrant. Ferland had been walking south on Vermont Rte. 16 from East Hardwick when he was recognized by a Hardwick officer on patrol. The police department had previously received a notification that a warrant had been issued for Ferland’s arrest. The warrant had been issued for failing to show for a scheduled court appearance at the Caledonia unit of the Superior Court of Vermont, Criminal Division. He was lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility.
