Narrative: On 05/29/26 at approximately 2156 hours, Hardwick PD was on patrol when notified of a male being loud and refusing to leave a residence. Upon arrival, Hardwick Police found Justin Perry to be the individual who was refusing to leave. A record check Through Lamoille County Dispatch Center found Perry to have an active arrest warrant for failure to appear. Perry was taken into custody without incident and transported to Northeast Correctional Complex where he was lodged on the warrant.

Narrative: On 5/7/26 at approximately 1812 hours Hardwick Police made a traffic stop for defective equipment. The operator, Jay Morey, advised that he did not have a license and a check with DMV records indicated that it was civilly suspended. Dispatch also advised that there was a warrant from Caledonia County Court. Morey was taken into custody and lodged at Northeast Regional Correctional Facility. Ticket was issued for driving with suspended license and a warning for the defective equipment.

On 04-29-26 at approximately 3:57 P.M. Officers from the Hardwick Police Department attempted to take 32-year-old Casandra Rich into custody on an outstanding warrant. Rich would run from officers and avoid detention on this occasion. She would be apprehended by HPD 6 days later on this warrant. As a result of her flight, Rich is being charged with Resisting Arrest. She has been issued a citation to appear in the Superior Court of Vermont, Criminal Division, Caledonia Unit, to be arraigned on the charge.

Narrative: On 05/20/2026 at approximately 1356 hours Hardwick Police was dispatched to a 2-car accident in front of 39 North Main Street. Upon arrival it was determined that a 2015 Ram 1500 operated by Ty Metevier had a mechanical problem and the steering wheel locked up. This caused the vehicle to pull to the right hitting a parked vehicle. A 2022 Subaru Crosstrek owned by Caitlin Deluca was parked along side the road and was unoccupied at the time of the crash. The Subaru sustained damage to the driver’s side door and fender. There was minor damage to the Ram truck’s front bumper. There were no injuries reported in the crash.
